Projects, resources and financials in one workspace.
WYNGS is the client’s own project and resource platform, built by Wysbryx: planning, resourcing, timesheets and financials in one place.
Client: A professional-services firm

The context.
A professional-services firm needed a product that connected projects, staffing, time and financial performance. With separate tools, delivery risk, availability, utilisation and profitability were hard to see.
Delivery and margin in separate tools.
Project tracking was siloed, so delivery risk surfaced late. Resources were allocated by hand, timesheets took effort to capture and approve, and project profitability lived in spreadsheets.
- Connect projects, resources, timesheets and financials
- Allocate people by availability and skills
- Reduce the effort of capturing and approving timesheets
- Show utilisation and profitability as work is logged
- Connect to billing and payroll
One workspace for delivery and margin.
Project plans, allocations and approved time are kept as one set of records. Utilisation and profitability are calculated from those records as time is approved, and billing and payroll read from the same data.
The system in three steps.
People are assigned to projects by week.
Submitted hours are approved against the allocation.
Views derived from allocation and approved time.
Inside the workflow.

Plan with resource information
The resource dashboard shows allocation, utilisation and timesheet compliance for each person.

View workforce composition
Headcount is grouped by band, location, tenure and worker type, alongside the project and resource records.

Log time against tasks
Employees enter hours against project tasks for the week, and managers approve them from the same grid.
What the platform does.
-
Planning
Each project tracks its milestones and delivery.
-
Resourcing
People are allocated by skill and availability.
-
Timesheets
Time is captured and approved in the same workflow.
-
Financials
Utilisation and profitability update as time is approved, and feed billing and payroll.
What changed.
The engagement ran for about ten months. Its write-up reports less manual effort, better resource utilisation and clearer project financials.
Decisions behind the work.
Domain experts shaped modular product releases.
Allocation uses skills and availability.
Billing and payroll read the same records as delivery.
